Born in Indonesia and raised in The Netherlands, Willem Rethmeier graduated from Holland's elite St Joost Art Academy with a Masters degree in Photography and began his career assisting leading photographers throughout Europe and the United States before settling in Australia. His assignments have covered Europe, Asia and the Pacific and his work has appeared in numerous international publications over the years including Thames and Hudson's India Modern, Morocco Modern and Pacific Islands. Willem is recognised as one of the world's foremost interiors and architectural photographers. Current clients include major architectural, design and advertising companies.
